See the Invisible: How to Protect Your Data in the Cloud

초록
By its nature, cloud computing involves various parties with different and/or conflicting interests. At the same time, due to the inherent virtualized environment of clouds, each party’s visibility into the system and data substantially diverges from those in the traditional systems. These multi-party multi-layer natures of the cloud bring various unique security challenges, and thus it is vital to understand these two properties and reflect them in the model for understanding and solving security problems in the cloud. In this talk, we will discuss various parties involved in the cloud ecosystem, security problems caused by the overexposed visibility with practical examples, and how those problems are being mitigated in the real-world infrastructures.
