제목(Title): Towards Robust and Reliable Large Language Models: A Statistical Perspective

강의초록: 최근 대규모 Foundation Model의 발전이 인공지능을 단순한 예측 도구에서 과학적 발견을 수행하는 지능형 연구 시스템으로 확장시키고 있다. AI는 외부 도구 사용, 코드 실행, 데이터 탐색, 실험 전략 수정을 수행하는 Agentic AI로 발전하고 있으며, 평가와 피드백을 통해 스스로 메모리, 도구, 워크플로우, 탐색 전략을 개선하는 Self-evolving Agentic AI로 진화하고 있다. 그러나 과학적 발견의 맥락에서는 정답과 보상이 항상 명확하지 않고, 환각, 편향, 분포 변화, proxy reward의 불확실성이 필연적으로 발생한다. 이에 본 강연에서는 conformal inference 기반 신뢰성 검증, LLM-as-a-Judge 보정, 분포 변화 하에서의 AI 신뢰성 향상, self-evolving agent 기반 바이오마커 발굴 사례를 통해, 미래의 AI for Science가 단순한 성능 향상을 넘어 불확실성 속에서도 믿을 수 있게 발견하고 검증하며 개선하는 방향으로 나아가야 함을 논의한다.
