한동대학교 SW중심대학의 학부생 창업팀 ‘NEWDAWN(뉴던)’이 중소벤처기업부 주관 ‘2026년도 창업중심대학 예비창업기업’에 최종 선정됐다. 이들이 개발 중인 ‘SOI’는 텍스트, 이미지, 음성 등 다양한 데이터를 활용하는 멀티모달 기반의 상호작용형 프라이빗 커뮤니케이션 플랫폼이다. 해당 서비스는 심사 과정에서 기술적 혁신성은 물론 실제 시장에서의 사업화 가능성을 높게 인정받았다.
이번 선정으로 팀은 최대 1억 5,000만 원의 사업화 자금을 확보했으며, 멘토링과 투자 유치 등 창업 전 단계에 걸친 전폭적인 지원을 받게 된다. 이러한 성과는 그간 한동대가 디자인 스프린트 캠프와 IT창업학회 등 독자적인 창업 생태계를 구축해 온 노력의 결실이다. 실제로 한동대는 현재까지 156건의 창업 수상과 36개의 정부 지원 사업 선정 실적을 기록하며 창업 교육의 저력을 증명하고 있다.

The team is currently developing “SOI,” a multimodal-based interactive private communication platform that utilizes various types of data, including text, images, and voice. During the evaluation process, the service was highly recognized not only for its technological innovation but also for its strong potential for commercialization in the actual market.
Through this selection, the team secured up to 150 million KRW in commercialization funding and will receive extensive support throughout the entire pre-startup stage, including mentoring and investment attraction opportunities. This achievement is the result of Handong Global University’s continued efforts to build its own startup ecosystem through initiatives such as design sprint camps and IT entrepreneurship clubs. In fact, the university has demonstrated the strength of its entrepreneurship education by recording 156 startup awards and being selected for 36 government-supported projects to date.
