제목(Title): Investigating Spatiotemporal Functional Brain Dynamics with MEG: From Magnetic Sensors to Advanced Signal Processing
일시(Date): 10월 7일 수요일, 오전 11시 30분 | October 7, Wednesday
장소(Venue): 뉴턴홀 220호ㅣNTH 220
발표언어(Language): 한국어
강의 초록: The human brain is a complex system consisting of 86 billion neurons communicating on a millisecond time scale. The mechanisms of the working brain can be investigated by studying the spatiotemporal functional dynamics, which can be captured using advanced technologies including magnetoencephalography (MEG), electroencephalography (EEG), and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). MEG, in particular, records magnetic signals generated by synchronously activated neuronal currents, providing high spatiotemporal resolution to directly measure neural activity in a non-invasive manner. In the present seminar, the basic principles of MEG will be introduced, followed by its instrumentation, signal processing methods, and applications. Finally, the seminar will conclude by introducing recent open science resources, such as public data repositories and open-source toolboxes, which enable researchers to readily apply their own signal processing algorithms to brain data.
본 세미나는 오프라인으로 진행됩니다. 학부생, 대학원생, 교직원 누구나 참여 가능하니 많은 관심과 참여 바랍니다.
This seminar will be conducted offline. We welcome all undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff to join us. We look forward to your interest and active participation.
