2026년 3월 2일(월) 오전 10시부터 오후 8시까지 한동대학교 제네시스랩 1층 장응복홀에서 "강하고 담대하라"(여호수아 1장 9절)라는 주제로 2026 CEST 행사가 진행되었다. CEST는 AI컴퓨터전자공학부 재학생들의 학부 적응과 진로 설계를 돕기 위한 행사로, 개강예배, 졸업생 특강, 학부 소개 및 공학교육인증제·SW중심대학 사업·BK21 사업단 소개, 교수 및 졸업생과의 네트워킹, 랩실·동아리·학회 소개 등 다양한 프로그램으로 구성되었다.
이날 행사에는 약 130명의 학생과 교수들이 참여했다. 사후 설문조사에서는 “CEST를 후배에게 추천할 의향이 있다”는 응답이 99%를 차지하며 높은 만족도를 보였다. 특히 졸업생 특강을 통해 현실적인 진로 조언을 들을 수 있었던 점과 교수 및 선배들과 직접 소통할 수 있었던 네트워킹 시간, 그리고 랩실·동아리·학회 정보를 한 자리에서 얻을 수 있었던 점 등이 긍정적인 요소로 꼽혔다.
참여 학생들은 “짧은 시간 안에 다양한 프로그램에 참여할 수 있어 유익했다”, “학기 시작 전 방향성을 잡고 동기부여를 얻었다”, “전공 및 진로 정보를 체계적으로 알 수 있었다”는 의견을 남기며 높은 만족도를 나타냈다.

CEST is an undergraduate event organized to support students’ adaptation to the School of Artificial Intelligence, Computer and Electrical Engineering and to help them explore their academic and career paths. The program included an opening worship service, a special lecture by alumni, and introductions to the school, the Engineering Education Accreditation Program, and national initiatives such as the National Program of Excellence in Software and the BK21 Program. The event also featured networking sessions with professors and alumni, as well as presentations by laboratories, clubs, and student academic societies.
Approximately 130 students and professors attended the event. According to the post-event survey, 99% of respondents said they would recommend CEST to junior students, indicating a high level of satisfaction.
Participants particularly appreciated the alumni lecture for providing practical career advice and real-world experiences. The networking sessions with professors and senior students, along with the opportunity to learn about laboratories, clubs, and academic societies in one place, were also highlighted as valuable aspects of the event.
